FMS, MRIS organizes a corporate social responsibility event ‘EK PEHAL’
Faculty of Management Studies, Manav Rachna International School, Faridabad organized Corporate Social Responsibility Activity ‘EK PEHAL’. For the Masters in Business Administration, batch of 2013, the program was launched in January, 2012 in collaboration with Haryana Police and more than 100 students were a part of the initiative. The students have put in 120 hours of Community Service in 15 Police Stations and today have successfully completed their respective assignments. During their program they helped the police officers in discharging their duties efficiently and effectively. The activities ranged from filing FIR’s, issuing challans, grievance handling, assisting in traffic monitoring and control. They also assisted them in creating awareness with respect to various laws.
Highlighting the objective behind the event, Dr. O.P Bhalla, Chancellor, Manav Rachna International University, said, “Every student is socially responsible and socially accountable and Manav Rachna has given this platform to students to test their abilities in Corporate Social Responsibility activity.”
Dr. N.C. Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna International University, said, “We are happy and pleased to see our promising students availed of this opportunity. By participating in the tough activity, they have expanded their horizons by understanding and engaging for social welfare.”
Prof. Chavvi Bhargava, Director, Faculty of Applied Science Manav Rachna International University, Faridabad said, “Our students have made us proud by engaging in Ek Pehel. We at Manav Rachna have always been able to build a firm foundation for our students and initiatives like these help students gain the required exposure and experience in their fields of Corporate Social Responsibility. We aim at boosting their confidence and passion to work hard for Society welfare.”
Mr. Shatrujeet Singh Kapur, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Faridabad, graced the occasion to award certificates to students upon successful completion of ‘Ek Pehal’, the Corporate Social Responsibility activity initiative, to the MBA students batch 2013 and launch the same for batch 2014.
